Marketing by the Numbers
I believe everyone is an expert in a number of areas. One of mine is washing dishes. Another is spending money on marketing programs that I cannot get to work. The last four years I have developed a method I call ‘Do what you do best and delegate the rest.’ I no longer spend money on programs that do not come with a money back guarantee. I want to know who got their money back and why. Not every program will fit everyone any more than a one size fits all for shirts and jeans. Experience tells me that not following the step by step instructions is the most common reason for failure. Doing the steps in the order I choose does not work either. I became proficient with autoresponders, buying leads and calling prospects. The process proved to me you cannot duplicate yourself. Even I hated the hours and the rejection. There had to be a better way. Once I began 'branding’ myself, I created ways for people to find me. The ability to assist others became the most important task. I began looking at the numbers. I knew from lead purchasing that one million leads produced two or three good prospects and ten good prospects produced maybe two long term working relationships. Using traffic exchanges and safelists the numbers of prospects found for every thousand hits to a web site are dependent on the site and the ad that brought them there. The one percent rule is in effect. Success is only one or two percent! Once your site produces there are two things to do. Increase traffic by every means at your disposal and increase the conversion rate. Each percent increase lowers the real cost of your advertising. Even free advertising has a cost. Your time is worth much more than what you get paid! Once you are ready for specific and targeted traffic it is time to look into adwords and adsense. Unless you have deep pockets I recommend finding someone who will not only teach you the process but show you the process and guarantee the results. Check back for the results! |
